Process

What it's like to work with us

There are 4 steps to every project

1

Onboarding

Getting the lay of the land

Onboarding starts when you call us for a quote. It consists of working with you to figure out the best plan for your needs. Once you sign, we work on getting the environment set up, acquiring brand assets, and other logistics.

2

Initial Concept

That first round of work

Right away, we get started on that first round of work for you. You get a delivery date, and in the meantime, you can just sit back and relax. When it's done, we reach out to schedule a design walkthrough.

3

Iteration

Making revisions

Iteration is the process of making rounds two, three, and so on. It's getting your feedback, making changes, and repeating until it's absolutely perfect.

4

Handover

Delivering your completed project

When we hand off your project, we stick around to help manage the migration back to your team. We provide documentation and 1-on-1 training sessions for managing your project, plus other helpful benefits.

FAQ's

For pricing info, see Pricing

How long does it take?

It depends on how many pages you have, and how complex each page is. An "average" page takes us 7 hours to design and develop. So if you have 5 "average" pages, that's 35 hours, so a little over a week. For the first draft, at least.

How many rounds of revisions do I get?

Unlimited. Most clients only need 3-4 rounds, anyway. We don't see any reason to put a cap on it.

What do you need from me?

Designs, if you have them. Branding, logos, any photos you'll need us to use are helpful too. The more info you give us, the faster you get your results.

What happens when the work is complete?

When work is complete, we do two things. First, we transfer the project to your team. Second, we send you a "Handover Packet," which is basically an instruction manual for maintaining the website.

How do we check in?

We communicate via email. It's the only channel that works for everybody. Every team uses a different app to communicate, whether it's Slack, Teams, Asana, Discord, you name it. Email, though, is universal. So it's just cleaner.

Can I add you to my Slack/Teams chat? (Or other platforms)

We handle this question on a case-by-case basis. It depends on how closely integrated with your team you need us to be. We prefer to avoid it when possible, but we acknowledge that sometimes it's simply easier.
