Summary
Chainlift is looking for Web/Product Designer with experience in web design, product design, or both. As a Figma Designer, you'll be responsible for transforming broad creative visions into tangible brand identities and crafting rich, responsive designs based on provided user stories and other specifications.
About Chainlift
Chainlift LLC is a full-service web development agency specializing in UX Design and Web Applications built with React or Next.js. Our mission is to give every small business a personal techie they can call when they need help. Not a customer service agent, not a faceless chatbot, but a real live person from a neutral third party who knows the tech industry and can help them navigate it. In doing so, we'll help local communities benefit from all the incredibly powerful and affordable tech they can't access currently, either because they aren't aware of it, it's too hard to use, or it's gatekept behind yet another subscription service.
To accomplish this goal, we will do the following:
- Unite the greatest UX and web development talent under one roof.
- Become the most competitive agency the industry has ever seen by producing better work in less time with greater impact than anyone else.
- Reinvest profits from our agency into the community by creating entry-level jobs, funding public designer/developer resources, and creating free training materials, courses, and bootcamps.
In other words, Chainlift exists to help people take their projects to the top, whether it's a business, an app, or their own education.
Responsibilities
- Create responsive layouts for websites or web applications based on provided specs and user stories
- Design unique brand identities based on abstract creative visions, mood boards, and style references, that accurately anticipate unspoken client expectations and consistently win approval within 1-3 rounds
- Keep Figma files organized and adhere to modern best practices for component structure, visual design, and accessibility
- Work within and help build out the LiftKit design system for Figma.
- Create high fidelity interactive prototypes
- Stay up-to-date on the latest features and updates from Figma
- Deliver work on time and maintain consistent communication via Slack on business days, responding to messages within a reasonable timeframe
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must have:
- Demonstrable mastery of Figma and its latest publicly-available features
- A portfolio containing at least 1 full web or mobile application you've designed in Figma that receives an overall score of Satisfactory or Exceptional according to the Product Designer Grading Rubric.
- A willingness to learn, question, and push our standards for design ever higher
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to effectively work remotely
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with little direct oversight
- Genuine support for our company's mission and an interest in democratizing technology.
Nice-To-Have
- Multiple projects that pass the Web/Product Designer Grading Rubric
- One or more case studies explaining your design process
